Bulletproof Hot Cocoa

I’m convinced real food should taste good. Life should go on as if nothing is different. Parties, family vacations, school lunches should be normal things we can still enjoy. We should feel free to eat what makes us feel good, not what we think fits our schedule. This hot cocoa will change your life. For years now I’ve thought sipping on a cup of hot cocoa with my kids while decorating the house required planning a cheat night. NO MORE!

Now we can all sit down to watch “Frosty The Snowman”, cuddling up in our blankets. Sipping hot cocoa and eating snickerdoodles all the while knowing we are having real food. No sugar-highs causing my kids to act animalistic, no ingredients hurting my gut, and no bad farts. Just saying.

How To Make Bulletproof Hot Cocoa

Start with a small saucepan. Pour in the milk, ghee and cocoa powder. If adding tapioca flour, do it now. This is only if you want a thick, creamier taste.

Continuously stir and heat to medium-low. Add in the coconut sugar, vanilla bean paste, and just a pinch of ground cloves.

Stir until the cocoa begins to boil. Stir rapidly for one minute.

Reduce the heat to simmer and cook for 2 more minutes.

Remove from heat and pour into your mug. Use the cinnamon stick as a stirrer.

This hot cocoa has won over the hearts of many in my house. Try it for yourself and let me know what you think!
