A recipe so delicious you won’t believe the ingredients!
I am not a huge fan of chocolate desserts. I know I know, if you know me personally you are well aware of how much I love dark chocolate. However, chocolate desserts are too much for me.
That’s why I’m in love with these brownies! The hint of nuttiness mixed with the melted chocolate reminds me of an almond snickers bar. These brownies are lighter than most paleo bars and hold together well. My 3 year old went crazy for these and my 7 year old claims these are the best brownies I’ve ever made. That’s quite a praise coming from the boy who normally claims store bought goodies are better than my homemade versions. He’s a sucker for name brands, like his mamma 😂.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup almond butter
- 1 T unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or ghee, softened
- 2 T water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°. Spray a glass 8x11" pan. If you don't have one, a 9x13" will work, the brownies will just be a little thinner.
- In a large glass bowl, melt your 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips. You can do this by microwaving the chocolate in 10-20 second increments. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.
- Add in your almond butter, vanilla, eggs, water and butter.
- Next mix in the sugar, salt, and baking soda.
- Once your batter is all one consistency, fold in the 3/4 cup chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into your pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Cool, and enjoy!
